ROLE PURPOSE:

The purpose of this role is to maintain, develop and record geological activities of the mine to ensure accurate information for mining activities. The role is responsible for carrying out field programs involving geologic mapping, blast-hole mapping, daily ore cuts for production and various other projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor's degree qualification in Geology Honours or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Blockbuster management, Leapfrog and in a production Geology environment

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND OUTPUTS

In fulfilling this role, the following general accountabilities will apply:

• Accountable for monitoring the health and safety of colleagues and taking action to immediately correct unsafe conditions and acts
• Accountable for complying with all company Mine and MRM Departmental Policies and Procedures
• Accountable for the management and improvement of the mine to mill reconciliation process with focus on reducing the discrepancies between each stage of the process.
• Accountable for grade control holes design in effective cost saving manner and in accordance with the quarterly production.
• Accountable for performing Grade Control modelling and ensure the optimisation of perimeter design
• Accountable for managing the grade control system and communicate problems / enhancements to Blockbuster (system developers).
• Accountable for routinely updating grade control estimation parameters in conjunction with the evaluation superintendent
• Accountable for putting in place a system/process to enhance the overall grade control system
